Respiratory Infection

MY college roomate is 20 years old and is ALWAYS sick. She gets diagnosed with one respiratory infection after another. She gets antibiotics, takes them, then 2-3 days after finishing them is sick again. AND her doctor just continues to write her prescriptions. I'm sick of seeing her miserable and shes sick of being sick. Any suggestions? Embarassed

Yes! She needs to be boosting her immune system so that her body can fight off the infections. Chronic overuse of antibiotics can weaken the immune system, and the bacteria can adapt to the antibiotics, so that the medicine no longer works.

She needs a great deal of rest, extra Vitamin C (500 mg twice a day), a multivitamin, and immune system enhancers like echnicea and yellow goldenseal supplements. Check out your local natural foods store for more recommendations.
