Restarting Ortho Cyclen pack
Posted: 05-15-08 18:53pm

I have been on Ortho Cyclen, the monophasic (sp) type, for a while now and the past few months I've been taking 2 packs back to back to skip periods. So far it's been working well. Lately I've just gotten lazy though and was on the last week of my pack. (i start taking a new pack on Thursdays). I have stopped taking my pills since this Monday, and I am currently on my period right now. Because I start new packs on Thursdays, I was wondering if it was okay to start my new pack today, or if I had to wait a week since I stopped taking it. I hope that was clear, thanks!

If you want to change your previous starting day (Monday) with new one (Thursday) you can start your new pack this Thursday- 15th May. If you wait for one week you will miss the first 3 days of the incoming cycle and that will seriously decrease pills' efficiency.
You shouldn't skip your regular periods very often because you can cause irregular bleeding.
