I have a retroverted uterus and I've had
three kids. First one, I didn't show at
all until the day before I had her (at 32
weeks) Second one, I showed more in the
last three or four months (she was a week
late) Third one, I was so happy coz I had
a "proper" baby bump for most of the
pregnancy (she was born on her due date) I
don't think it makes any difference to the
amount of weight you put on, but you will
need to be extra careful where your back
is concerned, pregnancy puts a strain on
your back anyway but your baby will more
than likely be pushing towards your spine
rather than forwards, so you need to be
"back aware". I'm guessing that you don't
get a swollen abdomen and stomach cramps
every month, more likely to be backache
and trouble pooing?

Those are the main two things I've noticed
different from other women I've spoken to.
If you still feel worried about this I'd
suggest speaking to your midwife. Good
luck with the rest of the pregnancy. Let
us know how you get on.
