Reyna's Birth Story
Posted: 05-30-08 18:48pm

For those of you interested, I had my baby girl Reyna Adrielle on Wednesday May 28th, 2008 @ 6:13 pm. I went to bed Tuesday night with mild contractions. My water broke at 2:15 that morning and because I was GBS+ I was told to go straight to L&D. They hooked me up to antibiotics right away then they determined that I wasn't dilating as quickly as they liked(check # 1) so they made me walk. My contractions picked up quickly but they refused to check me again because of the GBS and water breaking. At 9 am they started me on pitocin to speed things up. By 1:30 I was screaming for the epidural since my contractions seemed to have no beginning and no end. Sadly, only one side of the epi took and I felt EVERYTHING on my right side and still had to breathe through every contraction. At 3:30 I was feeling a ton of pressure so the midwife came and checked me...I had only dilated to a 6(check # 2) and I had came in at a 3 Razz So not much progress. At 5:45, I felt like I was about to poop all over the bed so the nurse called for the midwife and when she checked(check # 3), Reyna's hair was already visable in the mirror! 18 minutes later at 6:13 pm she was born weighing 6 lb 2 oz...19 inches long Very
Happy She's so tiny! My sister had to go buy a premie outfit to bring her home in...Pics in a minute...

She is so beautiful! She looks just like you. Is she a thumb sucker? I'll bet she was in the womb.

Congratulations on your miracle!

Congratulations!! Did you go before your due date? I was pretty sure you weren't due for a little bit!

She has the tiniest sweetest little face! You must be in complete love with her.

Enjoy her, Mommy! And please keep us updated with pictures and info!
