Rheumatism and its symptoms
Posted: 05-22-08 03:01am

I would like to say first off that I am in good health, active, and somewhat hyperflexible. When I stretch my body, several joints pop. On top of that I have this strange foot symptom. I will sometimes point my large toes downward when I stretch and I have excrutiating pain on the topside of my foot, midpoint, along the line of bones that connect to my big toes. My large toes also get stuck pointing downward sometimes after I stretch. The best way for me to describe the pain is as if I tore something or a bone slipped out of place and I stretched something. Its been like this my whole life. I'm just wondering what it could be. When my toes get stuck that way, its like a charlie horse, and it eventually lets up and my toes slowly return to their normal position. Upon xray of my hips when I was in a car wreck there was noted to be slight calcification and my hip popped really loudly during the exam.

Current medical status: hips popping, knees popping, shoulders popping, jaw popping, pointing large toe down causes extreme pain midfoot (top) and large toe sometimes gets stuck like that (pointing downward toward floor)
Current medical treatment: meloxicam due to the pain that my joints sometimes give off

You should consult a rheumatologist about your condition.
