I'm 19 years old, 5'10" 370 lbs. I've been
running 2 miles daily using an elliptical
and doing 30-40 situps daily as well as
eating healthy. I've always been
overweight but for the past 3 weeks I've
been active in hope of losing weight. I've
lost probably 10 pounds in the past 3
weeks because of how drastic the change
was.
Also, I'm taking a college Anatomy and
Physiology class, so this could also be a
little psychological.
I'm feeling a little discomfort on my left
side near the middle ribs and I also have
a some discomfort on my left arm near the
joint (proximal side). We just finished
going over the heart in my class and we
talked about the nerves cross-sections
(can't remember the exact name) and how
some people will feel left arm pain so I'm
getting a little worried, but it could
also be me just knowing too much and
thinking there is a problem.
Before I started running I had a Dr.
appointment and the Dr. didn't say I
should be worrying about anything (heart
rate was good for my weight and my blood
pressure wasn't higher then expected).
None of the pain is located in my chest,
just near the ribs, any ideas?

The pain is actually going away after
taking some motrin. I'm gonna call my
Doctor tomorrow to make an appointment but
I think for now I'll be fine. Just got
really worried.
