risk from penis contacting vagina Posted: 04-30-08 15:22pm
hello, i've only ever had protected sex,
but with the girl i've been seeing she
inserted my erect penis into her vagina
without a condom, i then put a condom on
(i hadn't ejaculated).
My knowledge is quite limited.
I'm wondering what kind of risk it is to
do that and whether i should go for a
test.
thank you

Well any kind of unprotected penetration
can leave you at risk for stds. Even if
you didnt go all the way in or you didnt
cum. To ease your mind I would get tested.
Have you had any symptoms? Has she been
tested recently? What does she say about
this? Have either of you ever been
tested?

well, i've not noticed anything
particularly significant regarding to
symptoms but this was very recent so i
don't know whether i'd get symptoms so
soon...or would i?
We've not spoken about it so i don't know
if she's been tested recently.
I myself have never been for a test.
Who should i get in contact with?
I read that if you go through the NHS,
they'll test me for free and
confidentially so it won't show up on any
medical records whereas if i went to my
GP, it WOULD go down on my records.
How would i then be able to go directly to
the NHS, i've so rarely had to go to the
hospital so i get a bit nervous about
these things.
thanks a lot,

Men usually get symptoms way later women
and sometimes (depending on the std) they
could get syptoms weeks after exposure and
the symptoms are so mild that they may not
even notice. But with us women it usually
comes up in a week or two.
I would talk to you GF and tell her your
fears. maybe you both can get tested.
Since you have never been tested it would
be a good time to start. If you arent in a
committed relationship I recommend getting
tested at least once a year or any time
you had unprotected sex.
She being a women probablt has had a
pap-smear so she could have already gotten
tested. The best thing to do is talk to
her. If you will continue having sex
together its only right to include her.
What does NHS stand for? Also are you a
minor?
Why are you afraid for it to go on your
record?
I think planned parenthood is confidential
and does STD testing. But im not sure if
its only for minors. I dont think it is.
but they have locations all over the
country. Look them up on the web.
