risk of getting HIV ?

Hi all,

I had protected sex with two commercial sex workers around 8 and 11 weeks ago. I used condom on both the occasions and the commercial sex workers told me that they are tested for STDs every three months.

In both the encounters, I had intercourse for almost 3-4 minutes each. I did not cum in the condom as I got scared and they gave me hand jobs on both the occasions.

In the second instance, while I was having vaginal intercourse, I think the condom broker as I decided to check and rolled off condom and I could feel slightly sticky rubbery substance on my shaft.

During the last 4-5 weeks, I think I have been having a tender skin inside my mouth and I have had 1-2 small lesions in the mouth for one night. I have also been diagnosed with eczema due to red scrotum and bacterial infection of genitals. The cream given to me by my GP seems to be working but the scrotum redness is taking time to go away. I also have two small red pimples on my chest which I developed yesterday. I have had 1-2 rashes on my chest and legs for a duration for approximately one hour.

COULD I HAVE HIV ??? Do I need to get tested?
And would anyone know whether Holland has a facility for anonymous HIV testing.
I am really worried .. could someone help ???

If a condom breaks, then there is no protection meaning that you can get anything that the other person has.

For your own peace of mind and to know what is ailing you, I suggest that you wait 3 months and test for HIV but right now, get tested for STDs. Tell the doctor that the condom broke.

I am sure there is anonymous HIV testing in Holland. Check the phone book.

I wish you well

Mson is right you have to get tested for all STD's and I am sure Holland must have some anonymous testing centers. But remember when you get tested at 3 months you have to get tested again 6 months after your last possible exposure. This is mostly because there have been some people who test positive even after the 3 month point.

unknown. Do you know any case 3.mounth negative and after 6.mounth hiv.
I search the information. No one in USA after 3.mounth turn negative till 2004.
Some doctor's said that if you havent any ill. 3.mounth is conclusive.
Many case be seen in 6.weeks some of them 3.mounth.
What do you think of it?

Thats very true sinandour, most HIV infected people are caught within 3 months, I don't know of anyone personally who tested positive after 3 months though. However, there have been a handful of people who have tested positive after 3 months. I believe doctors suggest a 6 months test simply because it is "possible" to test positive after 3 months but it is HIGHLY unlikely. I myself have to get my 6 month test in about 3 weeks now which I'm scared about. Also remember human error can occur with anything, including an HIV test, so a 6 month confirmatory test is a good idea.

yes but I think it is lat date. Some doctor said 12. mounth some of them is 18.mounth. But I think it is not true
3.mounth 95%
6.mounth 99.9% (If risk is very high)
There is no case after 3.mounth. in USA till 2004.
If you are healty. 3.mounth is conclusive.

Well HIV can take years to make you sick so you might not even notice within the first 3 months. Getting tested for HIV is a personal decision but if you think your at risk getting tested at 6 months is a good idea.
