Rose-names Posted: 04-12-08 00:34am
I'm expecting a girl in September. The
first name has to be Rose or a Rose name.
The middle name has to be Josephine, after
my mother. I like more simple, classic
names, my husband loves frilly over the
top names. Here is our choices (there is a
lot!) Please help us choose!
Rose Josephine
Rosemary Josephine
Rosemarie Josephine
Rosabel Josephine
Rosabelle Josephine
Rosabella Josephine
Rosaline Josephine (rose-uh-line, long i)
Rosaleen Josephine
Rosalia Josephine
Rosaleah Josephine (rose-uh-lee-uh)
Rosalea Josephine (rose-uh-lee)
You can suggest more if you want, though
we don't need more! We don't like any
Rose+Anne/Anna variants, or
Rosamund/Rosamond/Rosalind names.
Thanks! Chanel and Damien

I like most Rose- names. My favorites on
your list are:
Rosemary Josephine
Rosemarie Josephine
Rosabel Josephine
Rosalia Josephine
I also like Rosalie (not spelled Rosalea).
The only one I don't like at all is
Rosaleah, which looks made up, like
someone put Rosa and Leah together.
Rosalia is a much nicer spelling. I don't
really care for Rosabelle and Rosabella,
which are very frilly, but Rosabel is
gorgeous.
I like Rosaleen, but they rhyme with
Josephine. Rosaline Josephine looks like
it should rhyme even though you said it
didn't. I never would have thought of
pronouncing it that with a long I sound. I
wouldn't use either with Josephine as the
middle name.
