Salicylic Acid as an Acne Treatment?
Posted: 08-10-08 11:50am

I've been suffering for well over a decade with mild acne and was wondering about a couple of products. I don't want to use ProActiv/benzoyl peroxide because I have dry skin that can get quite sensitive. I've read a lot about salicylic acid, in particular SensiClear that uses S.A. and something called Retextra,

Does anyone use this? I like the sound of it - from what it says it looks just what I need (mild) and cleanses as well as treats the acne. I need both because I wear makeup all the time. Wondered what anyone else's thoughts were?

I believe salicylic acid can also cause dryness, especially at the beginning of treatment. Did you give it a try and was it effective for your acne?
