Congrats!!! Was this your first
ultrasound? It must be so exciting to
finally see him/her. I'm glad to hear
everything is okay. Bloating so badly
must be awful; I hate the bloating I get
just from AF! I can't imagine pregnancy
bloating!
Congrats again. A nice december baby.
Someone to love and hold through the
holidays

Why wouldn't you be able to go past your
due date?

I don't know, I hope to. Krystine said
that because its my first I may not make
it past my due date, but i hope to. The
more time in the oven the better I think.
Unless I'm like 42 weeks. That would just
suck.

First babies are usually late. Plus, your
dating is a little off anyway. From your
LMP to your due date, the range is
different than average.
Due dates are only an ESTIMATE of when the
baby will come. Don't get that singular
date fixated in your head. It could be +/-
up to 2 weeks on either side of it.

I was pretty sure it was bloating when I
saw your pics. I have pretty severe
bloating too. It should start to go away
if you curb your diet and drink lots of
water.
Ingi is right. Most first time mothers go
over their due date, not early. Try to
relax about not carrying to term. Chances
are you'll make it to 40 weeks and
beyond.
I'm due 12/28, so lots of December babies
floating around.

ya theres nothing wrong, just not very
common to deliver on your due date when
its your first. my doctor, ob and sister
inlaw all told me that.
Amethyst-if the heart rate is drastically
high, then its something to worry about,
and they will tell you, but the heart rate
slows as the baby grows and you get
further along.
like Ingi said, you could go either way, a
couple weeks past your due date, or before
it. First babies are usually never on
time. and its just an estimated date that
they give you to give you a time as to
when the baby should/could be born.

My delivery date for my first born was
Nov. 4. On Nov. 4 at 10:PM I started
having contractions. My second born's
delivery date was May 26 and was born May
9 with no problems. So, just as everyone
has said, when he/she is ready it will
happen, just an estimated guess. By the
way, it was the same doctor who deliverd
both of mine. And.........even funnier,
with my first born I didn't have a
sonogram (25 years ago our hospital/doctor
did not have a sonogram machine) but I did
on the second. So.....you would think the
due date would have been more accurate
than the first. I did not know the sex of
either until they were born. A boy (25
years old and a girl 22 years old)!

I'm glad everything's ok and you don't
have to worry anymore. Well...truth is
you'll worry til the day you give birth
and even more after lol. Enjoy the time
you are pregnant but not huge...when the
huge days come you'll wish you were small
again

If you take care of yourself, eat healthy,
walk, etc. and do as your doctor tells
you, you will lose the weight in less than
2 months. Well.........I guess everyone
is not the same. I had a 6 lb. baby and
gained less than 18 lbs. and I my second
was 5 lbs. and I gained 20. I lost that,
and then eventually lost another 7 lbs. I
guess I was eating a little healthier and
more active after they were born. A LOT
more active - lol! Don't worry about the
weight - it will come off.

Good for you! You will really be glad you
ate healthy after the baby comes. I have
known women who think just because they
are pregnant and eating for two, they
gain 40 to 50 lbs just because they are
prenant, and have an excuse. Believe me,
when the baby comes, they realize it
doesn't go away just because you delivered
a baby. The body weight is because you
ate TOO much when you were pregnant.
Also, it is not healthy for you during the
last trimester of your pregnancy, blood
pressure, fluid retention, etc.
