first off you really really
need to switch to water...and honestly
when you start drinking it...your body is
going to crave it. I really didnt drink
al ot of water before i got preg. but now
that is ALL i want to drink. It feels a
lot better than drinking really sugary
drinks b/c it doesnt make you feel icky
bloated. Im almost 11 wks and i havent
gained any weight yet. I actually lost
weight b/c i was sick, the dr.s told me
not to worry though. Whats normal meals
for you?? What things do you usually eat
and how much?? Your like me with the
oranges!!! They are soooo good!!!
I think its great that you haven't gained
any weight. Are you exercising too?

The first trimester a lot of women lose
weight or don't gain at all. It is the end
of pregnancy where the weight gain comes
in. Walking is great exercise during
pregnancy! Keep it up

Walking is extremely healthy! You should
walk every day if you have the energy, and
can continue to do so up until the day you
give birth! It keeps you in great shape
and the exercise will keep you from
getting lazy, which in turn makes you more
tired and less energetic. It's awesome
all-around!

even if im not feeling 100% my best i can
still walk the short route. Plus ive
heard its really good for your leg
muscles...someone told me you need to keep
those in shape for when you have your
baby. I guess from the pushing?

I walk every single day, at least a mile
and a half. I don't know how my weight
gain is so extreme, I really don't eat
unhealthy things

Well actually, you don't use your legs
when you push. You use your pelvic
muscles. When you push, you kind of push
like you're taking a poo. I wish I could
describe it another way, but there you go.
A great exercise to do to strengthen your
pelvic muscles is Kegels. Google it! You
can do it any time of day, and not only is
it great for preparing for labor, but
after you give birth it will help prevent
urine from leaking when you sneeze, cough,
or laugh! It's sad that that can happen,
but your muscles are pretty worked over
and tired from pushing a baby out. Kegels
can prevent that (or help it, anyway).

Amethyst, you should scroll back a few
pages. I gave you a few tips on what you
can do to control your appetite. Plus
remember to drink more water and less
gatorade and juice.

Ingi is right, juice IS bad for you in
large quantities. In fact my doctor said
in the second trimester you only need 350
more calories a day and she suggested
rather then eating to just drink two
glasses or orange juice. You really only
need that much juice in a day, its packed
with sugar. It is healthy a couple of
times a day but not everytime your
thirsty.
I've gained one pound and i'll be 11 weeks
not long from now. I still go to the gym I
just can't do pushups or situps. Pretty
much everything exercise wise is OK to do
as long as your not overexerting yourself.
I find running makes me dizzy so I just
jog and walk alot more.
Maybe you should write down what you eat
and get a food guide out to help you
determine how much you should be eating of
all the food groups every day. You may
feel hungry but your body doesn't need
nearly as much as it seems your eating
right now. In the end its going to be
incredibly difficult for you to lose the
weight after pregnancy is you continue
gaining.
While you should not necessarily try to
lose weight while pregnant, i guarantee
you if you start eating healthier and
exercising that you'll end up losing some
weight, or rather not gain anymore for
awhile.
