I am a preemie, I was born at 1 pound 2
ounces. The only way I could get food and
air to breathe was through an IV in my
neck. It left a scar there and it never
faded completely. I have gone to many
consultations from surgeons about getting
the scar removed, but from what they say,
they do not have the technology yet to
completely vanish a scar, without taking
skin from another part of your body, or
taking out the skin which is scarred and
closing it, - without making a new scar.
This has caused me a lot of insecurities
of leaving my neck bare, and when people
ask questions of what it is.
Does anyone know of any treatments or
information of what I can do?
