Hi nutmeg. Welcome to eHealth. Are you seeking treatment for self harm at this time? Have you had treatment in the past?

Treatment for self harm includes psychotherapy, self-help and/or medications (often useful in cases of extreme anxiety).

The most important thing to remember is that you have choices: stopping self-injury can begin now. Are you interested in stopping? And if so, what steps are you willing to take?

Hi I have regular therapy sessions and have been told that i need anti-depressants.
I want to stop self injuring but do not have the self belief to do so. I am willing to take any steps that will help other than being hospitalised or anything like that as i am scared of doctors.
