Self injury and parents intervention

I am finding life really hard to cope with. I think i need antidepressants but i am too scared to go to the doctors. Whenever i cut my legs they bruise around the wound and are sore for weeks and when they finally do heal they scar badly. Why is this happening ? If i was to go to the doctors what would they say / do about my cuts ? Would they put me on anti depressants without an adult there with me ?

Current medical status: Self harm
Current medical treatment: Therapy

Self-injuring could be the result of depression. A feeling of quietness, which is typical for depression, can make you act like that (self injury). You probably need medical attention by a mental health professional.

You can ask for medical attention without the knowledge of your parents but you should know that they can help you very much. A parents love can't be replaced with any antidepressants.

You should tell your parents and then together you could go to a mental health professional.
