I guess Im just confused as to why you
cant be refered to an OB/GYN to get this
medical attention. This doctor can give
you advise on how to take this medicine
and even prescribe it to you. I dont
understand why it is impossible to go to
this type of doctor. If you have an HMO
you need a referal, so get one from your
doctor. If you have to tell them you have
something else going on down there just to
get into the OB/GYN. If you have a PPO
you can go to them and pay the specialist
fee of $20 - $40 depending on your copay
and get all the medical advice you need
from a well qualified doctor.
You DONT have to go to a fertility doctor
right away to get pregnant. The OB/GYN
can help you with the preliminary steps.
I dont know how much you paid for your
clomid oversees online, but did you know
that you can get a genaric brand for $4 at
Walmart? So its not as expensive as you
may think it is. It is all in how
expensive you make it.

Thank you so much! I'm just scared to get
too excited because I don't know how the
clomid might have effected my PT results.
But my fingers and toes are crossed. This
is the first sign of hope my dh and I have
had in more than 9 years. I don't think
I've seen him this happy in a long time.

Thank you too star. My previous post was
addressed to the lady that posted right
before you, I guess you and I were posting
at the same time and you beat me to the
punch. lol
The reason I can't go is because of
finances, it has nothing at all to do with
my Dr. or insurrance. I live in the
Pensacola / Destin FL area and Dr's are
verrrry high priced here. I regular Dr.
visit without ins. is around $150 and
that's only if there are no tests to be
run or anything special going on. My
husband is a contractor, so finances are
tight right now with the real estate
market being at an all time low. No one is
building houses anywhere in the U.S. it
seems, so we are trying to conserve in
every way we can. We were not in this
financial situation years ago when we
first started TTC, but it has now become
something that is a huge part of our lives
and we just can't give up. There is so
much more to my story that leads up to
this strong desire, but it's too much to
type right now. I can only hope and pray
that someone here can understand and share
advice and tips with me.
I will of course, make sure to see a Dr.
as soon as I get my official BFP the day
after I'm late for AF, and I intend to
tell the Dr. what I have done to help in
TTC.

What is BFP - I know that must sound
ignorant, just not familiar with the
initials!
I do believe you are pregnant, the home
pregnancy tests are 99% accurate, my
doctor gave me that percentage.
Thank you, but I still haven't received
any advice on whether or not the clomid
can effect the results of a PT. These are
things that I can only wish I had a Dr. to
ask.

I know, I wish I could help you with that.
I have posted several concerns, and did
not get any response either. I guess the
answers will come to us in time. I so
hope you are pregnant and everything turns
out for the best for you - keep in touch.
You seem like a really nice, sincere,
sympathetic and understanding person. All
of the qualities I like in a person. When
is your first doctor appointment?

Thank you eeyore! And I do try to be
all those things. I just don't know any
other way of life.
I haven't made my first Dr. appointment
yet, but I did call my Dr. and ask how
long of a wait there would be to get in
and I told the receptionist why I was
asking, she said to come in for the
official test I didn't need an appointment
and it was only $50 for the urine and
blood test both, then if it is positive,
they refer me right over to the ob/gyn and
that would only be a 2 to 4 week wait. So
I'll keep you all posted.
I just had chicken and rice with mushroom
and shallot sauce, which is one of my
favs, and the smell made me nauseous and
the taste kinda made me feel "icky" all
together. Hopefully that is a good sign,
but honestly, I find it VERY hard to
believe that I'm already getting sensitive
to smells and foods.

So are you saying that you dont have any
insurance?
If so I can understand that. My husband
is also a contractor, but we have
insurance through my company. THe same is
true with the housing market up here in
NC.
From everything that I have read you cant
get false positives from the Clomid. So I
would say that you are pregnant. If you
dont have any insurance, you need to get
on medicaid or see if you can get some WIC
help.

That is correct, we do not have any
insurance at all any more. I had thought
about the medicaid and wic, and that is a
possibility if it seems as though things
are getting too expensive, but I'm going
to try my hardest not to have to do that.
It would be more understandable if this
were an accidental pregnancy, but the fact
that I have planned this and tried so hard
just makes it seem wrong to do that. I'll
just have to do some soul searching.
I had no idea you were in NC. We were
supposed to relocate up there about 6
months ago but we didn't make it in time.
The economy fell here in this area before
it fell up there, so many of the
contractors from this area went up there,
then a couple months later we heard that
the economy was dropping up there as well,
so we just decided not to go anywhere. It
is like this all over the country right
now. I cringe every time I turn on the
news. Gas is up to $3.96 here now, and I'm
sure it's still climbing as I type.
I sooooo hope you all have wishes come
true soon. I really really need someone to
be happy with. It is so upsetting to see
so many that are struggling in TTC. I had
no idea how big this problem was until I
decided a few weeks ago to look online and
get educated and try to see if anyone else
was going through any of this. I was in a
total state of shock when I seen site
after site with hundreds and even
thousands of members on some sites.

Get some vitamins until your doctor's
appointment - then all we can do is wait
and see if you are pregnant. I so hope
you are. You seem so deserving and like
you are an excellent mom. How old is your
daughter?
Do not be hesitant to get
financial/medical assistance. That is why
we all pay taxes. If you are having a hard
time right now it will only get more
expensive when the baby COMES!!!!
Yeah!!!!!
We visited Pensicola/Destin 2 years ago -
really liked it!

My daughter (with my current husband) is
going to be 10 on the 23 of this month. My
son (whom I had with my first husband)
will be 15 in August. He lives with his
dad thousands of miles away in New Mexico.
They are military, and when my son turned
12 he wanted to go live with his dad
because he wants to go into the air force
when he's 18 too. My heart was broken. He
visits me in the summer for two months
every year, so he is here with us now. The
house is so empty without having both of
my kids here all the time. My daughter
keeps me going. She is the most lovable
little girl I could ever hope for. She's
so supportive and helpful. I just wish she
would get that reading grade up! Ughhh!
We love it in this area too, but the
problem is, it was just announced as the
most expensive area to live in the state
of Florida a few months ago, so it's not
really where we should be living anymore.
We were middle income family before the
economy started falling around here last
year, now, well, we're trying to hold on
to that "middle income" title, but it's
not looking too good these days. Our
savings has taken a pretty big hit. My
dh's mother passed away on my daughter's
b-day last year. (June 23) and this past
year has really been screaming for
something wonderful to happen to bring
everyone back to life around here.
Edit: I thought you couldn't get on
Medicaid or WIC unless you are single mom
..??

I don't think so, but I am not sure. I
think it has to do with your income. It is
worth checking out. We all go through
some tough times and need help at some
point in our lives. And........if this
little one means getting help, then it is
worth it.

Yes, I agree with that. I would go through
hell and back for my children, even for
this little one I'm hoping is on the way.
My husband and I were just talking, and
something just occurred to me and him
both. I wonder if the HCG is showing up so
soon because it is so high because of
TWINS ..??!! Oh goodness! Okay, that's the
last time I'm going to stress over that
until my first ultrasound. lol That would
be an AMAZING blessing, but.... oh
goodness.... talk about having your hands
full. lol

Oh, by the way...
I have been taking prenatal vitamins for
about 6 months now, plus extra folic acid
800mcg and drinking lots of water and
green tea. They sell the prenatals at
Wal-Mart, and they seem to be just as good
as the ones from the Dr. Thanks for the
advice!

Dont jump to that conclusion to fast, it
is WAY to early to tell. Do twins run in
either of your family?
And as far as the aid, you dont have to be
a single mom, it has nothing to do with
that. It has to do with the number of
people in your household and your annual
income. If you can show that your annual
income does not exceed 32,560 then you can
apply for WIC in the state of FL. Just
google WIC in FL and the first site will
bring you to their info page. You can
find a number to call for your county.
Since your husband is not bringing in
steady money and you said that you as a
real estate agent are not always bringing
in steady money, it would be easy to show
that you make that amount. They only
require you to show income for a month or
2 weeks or something. Thats what they did
for my brother and sister in law.

Thank you for the info Star! I had no idea.
btw, I'm not a real estate agent, I was
just stating that we are effected by the
real estate drop because hubby is in
construction. I'm actually a full time web
designer from home.
Okay, got a weird question. Sorry if it's
tmi, but I really need to ask...
Normally when I'm expecting AF, about 4 or
5 days before, sometimes not that early,
but anyway... about 4 or 5 days before AF
my bbs are a bit sore all over. Well,
right now, I'm not that lucky, right now
it feels like my nips are on fire and at
any moment they are going to explode. It's
a constant stinging feeling that is very
painful. Is this an early preg. symptom?
(sorry if that was tmi, I just had to ask
because I don't recall having this symptom
in my earlier pregnancies)

It wasn't for either of my pregnancies,
but every pregnancy is different. With my
first pregnancy my only symptom was a
missed period. With this one, I got so
completely bloated. I ended up testing
because I wanted an excuse for my bloat. I
never expected the test to be positive!

I'm 11 weeks 2 days. It took almost a year
to get pregnant this time around. I'd
breastfed my daughter for almost two
years, which played havok with my cycle.
I'd go months between periods. It was a
really depressing time for me. It's one of
the main reasons why I never expected the
second line to pop up.
My bloating never went away. I'm noticably
pregnant... but my "bump" isn't a real
bump, it's just... blah. The baby's too
little and is still tucked inside my
pelvis. It's kind of embarrassing, really.

Oh wow!!! That is soooo exciting!!!!
Congratulations!!!!
I had an early bump with my last two. I
was in maternity clothes by the time I was
in my 3rd month with my daughter, and I
never did understand why. I knew she was
too small to make me show that soon, but
nothing else seemed to fit right. It's
better to wear loose clothes anyway. It's
suppose to be more comfy for the baby.
I hope everything goes well for you over
these next 7 months remaining. Good
Luck!!!!
