my doctor is unfamiliar with nuchal
testing and the meaning of the results he
was to pass on to me so i need help. my
adjusted results are tris. 21 1:1727 and
for tris. 13 and 18, it's 1:146. this
sounds much worse and has me worried. pls
help me to interprete this. do i need
further testing? the NT is 1.7mm at 12
weeks gestation and the crown tump length
is 5.6cm.

You probably need examination of the serum
predictor markers: beta-HCG, PAPP-A, AFT
etc. to calculate the risk more closely.
If the risk appears very big you may want
to request chorion-biopsy or amniocentesis
for precise chromosome examination.
