I'm a 25yr old male and its come to my
attention that the shaft of my penis is
gradually getting darker, darkly tanned if
you will. My girlfriends noticed it and as
a result so have I. I have no idea if this
is detrimental in anyway, or if its just
normal as an individual.
I've searched the net and not got a lot
back, aside from possible mentions of
fungal based infections, however i do not
have any other symptoms such as itching or
heated sensations. I'm at a bit of a
loss so would greatly appreciate any
pointers, cheers!

Probably a change in skin pigmentation? I
have the reverse, I am loosing
pigmentation and its turing lighter. I
don't think its anything to worry about if
that is the only thing happening.

That is a strong possibility, I've read a
few comments via my internet searches that
referenced changes in melanin as a
naturally selective adaption in some
populations... just seems a little
localised to me, although these are
'priority' areas for keeping sun away from
if you are of fairer skin i guess. I will
ask a doctor when i get the opportunity
just to be sure.
Thanks for the swift reply, MikeH90.
