Shaking inside and swaying sensation Posted: 03-22-08 11:42am
Hi everyone. great place.
I hope someone can help me or share their
own experience with me. Lately I have been
feeling trembling inside my body from head
to toe. Most of the times, it is
accompanied by a swaying sensation, that
is if I am sitting I feel like the chair
is moving, or if I am laying down, the bed
is swaying. It is very upsetting. And when
I walk, it is like my feet are not steady.
So I get really scared.
I had this a few years ago, for the first
time. I had it for months, and one day it
just stopped. But now it is back...
I suffer from SVT and I have diabetes. I
am overweight... I have been a panic
attack sufferer for last 10 years. But I
have come to deal with it, quite well over
the years. Not all the time, but I try my
best...
I am giving all these details in hope
someone can tell me what cause the inner
tremors and swaying sensation.
Please share any comments, experience with
me.
Thanks in advance...

The anxiety causes the tremors, but about
the swaying sensation and not being steady
on your feet: it can be caused by
anxiety(I can give myself the impression I
am swaying an rocking if I close my eyes
and think about it) but maybe you could
also see an ENT specialist to check your
ears. The fluid in our inner ear is what
gives us balance and that might be upset
for one reason or another.

Did you start any new medication recently?
What medications are you one? This also
can cause you symtoms.

Thanks for the replies.
No new medication lately. I have been
taking the same ones for years now.
Diabetes ones and also verapamil, which
controls heart rate.
I don't have panic attacks too often. It
comes in spells, for a few weeks, I will
have the symptoms and then with some anti
depressants, it gets better. With time and
hard work, I have come to accept that it
forms part of my life.
As for the inside tremors, it is so
upsetting. I can't really settle. I can't
focus at work, because I keep feeling the
chair moving. I had that in 2004, it took
a long time to go. Just one day, it
stopped..without me doing anything
specific. Now it is back and I don't know
why. I am no more stressed than I have
been before... Yes, I am a very anxious
person, but I have lived quite well with
it.
I just wish I could find the cause of
this, and most of all a treatment.
I went to see an ENT doctor, nothing wrong
there... so I am at a lost...
Thanks again for your replies... and for
any future ones...
