Shin Bone Injury 30 Days Ago Now Has Huge Knot On Shin Bone Posted: 10-15-05 21:37pm
About 30 days ago at a waterpark, a the
heel of a man's foot came down on my left
shin about 1/3 of the way down from my
left knee. It was a most painful injury,
and immediately began to swell and show
slight bruising.
It was very sore for about two weeks,
though I didn't notice it much unless I
touched or bumped it accidentally. Now,
about a month later, the soreness is
almost completely gone, but I have a huge
knot on my shin bone in the place where
the injury occurred. This knot is very
apparent to the eye, but when you touch
it, it feels enormous. I don't mash too
hard on it for fear of it hurting, but it
feels like bone, yet it's not what my
normal shin bone looks or feels like.
Is this something I shouldn't worry about,
or is it something I should take to a bone
specialist? I'm quite concerned, because
the knot does not seem to be diminishing
at all in size.
