I have had spinal stenosis for about 10 years. It now has become severe and the neurosurgeon says that surgery will be indicated sometime in the future. I have been receiving epidurals (3 in the past 8 months.) This last one hasn't taken all the pain away in lower back and radiating pain down both legs. My MRI showed severe dehydration and desication, bulging discs, and severe stenosis at L4/5 & L5/S1. When it become so unbearable 8 months ago I couldn't bear weight on my own without the help of a walker!! If anyone has had any surgical intervention for this problem, I would love to hear about your results. My neurosurgeon, during the first visit, mentioned the dynesys stabilization system. It allows for more flexibility than the traditional "fusion". Thanks alot for any info!!
