Splotchy Red Rash When I Go Out In the Sun. Posted: 06-17-06 17:27pm
When I go out in the sun sometimes I get
really bad rashes. I'm pale, and normally
will get sunburnt, but it's not sunburn.
Im also allergic to the dyes in some candy
and food, and I dont know if it's that
reacting with the sun or what it is. It
gets in the way of things though. If I go
out in the sun after eating red dye i'll
get this red rash that looks exactly like
sunburn, and feels like it too. I thought
it was sunburn for a while, but I noticed
a differance. This is more red, gets
worse as the day goes on, is more splotchy
of where it ends, and will go away over
night. We think its from the red dye,
becuase I dont get it unless I eat that.
I used to get this splotchy red rash when
I went out in the sun. It looks bumby,
but its not. It stiffens the skin, and
burns worse then sunburn. I havent gotten
it in a while, but today I did. I've been
able to go to the pool for the past few
days in the afternoon and not put on any
sunscreen and only get a little sunburnt,
hardly enough to bother me. But today I
went out around 11 and got that rash for
the first time in acouple years. I had
yellow dye right before it, but I dont
know what it is. :shock:
