STD testing after first time ? Posted: 07-14-08 01:39am
i had intercourse with my boyfriend.
it was kind of surprise for me, it wasn't
planned but he just went mad and couldn't
wait.It was my first time,I even bleeded a
lot but he didn't use a condom.
just to be sure I wanna have all the exams
to see if I got a disesase. He syys he is
clean and has always used condoms but
anyway I wanna be sure.
what type of analysis should I do ?
So i go to a lab and what do I ask for ???

When did this happen? Are you not
concerned about pregnancy? Go see your
doctor and tell him/her you had
unprotected sex and you would like to be
tested for all STD's.

you should probably get plan B asap if it
isn't more than 48 hours after you had
sex...just to rule out the possibility of
pregnancy..bc that is very likely if you
aren't on birth control..if its already
been 48 hours then i guess youll just have
to wait and see and test.....

I'm not trying to be mean, just honest.
Why was it unprotected, even if it wasn't
planned there are so many kinds of
contraceptives to keep unwanted
pregnancies from happening. Go see a
doctor or take a HPT if you miss a period.
Even if you don't you still should get
tested.

Although it gets less effective by the
day, plan b can be used for up to 72 hours
not just 48

Actually you can use plan b up to 120
hours (5 days), but of course the sooner
you take it, the better.
Speak with your doctor or go to planned
parenthood for tests concerning STDs.

Just ask for plan b and a full std
screening. They'll know what to give you.

That's exactly what I was going to say.
Get the FULL screeing for STD's. As far as
I'm concerned, whatever they ask you
want...just say yes. The more tests you
get, the better you'll be. I'm in a
committed relationship for 6 years, and I
STILL get every freaking test offered!
PS: Always wear a condom! Your only real
protection from most STD/STI's. And
please, honey...have SOME sort of
protection at all times. Don't rely on
Plan B every time you have sex (not
healthy).
