- Why I don't have my menstruation yet
while I am not pregnant? Usually after
taking clomid, it takes 32 days until next
menstruation. I think since I ovulated may
1st, I should have my menstruation 2 weeks
after.
- I am taking clomid for 5 cycles already,
and the 4 cycle was interrupted by my
miscarriages. Is it save for me to
continue taking clomid? My doctor said,
since I have miscarriage before (December
2007), it is like I just started my cycle
taking clomid for the first time again
(started april 2008, two cycles after
miscarriage).
- What should we do to improve my husband
sperm?
- Why I cant ovulated normally?

My follicle is not grown, and if I am not
taking any clomid I would have 44days mens
cycle. At first time, my doctor said I am
PCOs, but after taking some test, FSH, LH,
DIABETES) I am not one of it. And my
fallopian tubes are patent too. Doctor
said, it is difficult for me to ovulated
it self. So I am taking clomid to
ovulated.
According to your story it appears that
both you and your husband have a sterility
problem.
You don’t have spontaneous ovulations
and thus your periods are irregular. Lack
of ovulation can be due to PCOS, thyroid
disorders, increased prolactin, etc.
Clomid is used for stimulating ovulation.
You need to have sex or to perform IUI
during the ovulation. Ovulation can be
predicted by measuring the body
temperature, using ovulation test strips
or by ultrasound monitoring. Clomid can be
used for 6 cycles in a row. Missing a
period in your case is not due to
pregnancy. It could be due to an ovarian
cyst formation that can happen when using
Clomid as a side effect.
But there is another problem in your case
– your husband’s sperm is not good
enough which means his ejaculate does not
contain enough alive, mobile and normal
morphology spermatozoids. You didn’t
tell me precisely which sperm disorder he
has but in more than 50% of cases the
cause for sperm low quality is unknown.
Easier cases are treated with intra
uterine insemination (IUI) and severe
cases with
Intra-cytoplasmatic-sperm-injection
(ICSI).
In sterility cases like yours, where
combination of ovulation stimulation and
artificial insemination was not
successful, I think that you should try
treating sterility with “in
vitro”-fertilization. You can consult
your gynecologist about this.
