Over the last 3 months, I have had 15-20
episodes of sudden-onset (within a minute
or so) of extreme exhaustion. The
episodes usually occur in the heat (but
many times I have spent long hours in the
heat with no episode). It is a sudden,
overwhelming fatigue that requires me to
lay down for 2 hours or more (the longest
was 6 hours) before I feel up to par
again.
My doctor has run tests for thyroid,
diabetes, sed rate, etc. I also had a
stress test on my heart. All were
normal.
The episodes continue. I am only 40, and
this just started 3 months ago. I'm
beginning to think maybe it's the early
stages of menopause? Any help or
suggestions would be appreciated!
