iwas at my therapists office the other day
told her i was depressed and tha the
wellbruton was not working that maybe i
also needed a new med to take with it.
she called my pdoc and gave the message to
his receptionist then i told my therapist
that I thought about one night just
getting out of bed and walking to the
freeway overpass and jumping she called my
pdoc again and gave the message to the
receptionist who said all i can do is give
him the message. I called him on monday
is voice mail said he would return calls
24 to 48 hours after receiving them but if
he did not to call him again. he never
returned my call. Can i change to a
different pdoc even though the one i had
been seeing put me on disability would the
disability still continue since he
certified me?

Of course you can! It is your choice -
don't stay with someone who is obviously
unsympathetic, unconcerned,
unprofessional, etc. Ask your therapist
to recommend someone else. Your therapist
needs to know that your psychiatrist is
treating you in this manner. It is your
LIFE - don't hesitate to seek help -
disability or not! PLEASE seek help - I
do not know what has happened to the
medical profession, but it is failing many
who are in need of immediate attention.
So sorry you are being treated like this.
