Week immune system

Weak immune system is usually manifested
with often, severe, infections usually
caused by infective agents that in normal
occasions either cause banal infection or
cause no infections at all. Symptoms of
weak immune system are chronic fever,
chronic diarrhea, anorexia, weight loss,
swollen lymph nodes, symptoms of severe
infections like pneumonia, meningitis,
encephalitis etc. In the final stage
patient dies from septic shock.

Can Weakened Immune System

be caused by steroid use? I was diagnosed
17 years ago with asthma and put on a
breathing machine and steroids for a year
only to find out that was in incorrect
diagnosis. Blood tests proved that I had
hypersensitivity pneumanitis caused by
exposure to mold/mildue in my car's air
conditioning system.
My doctor then put me on prednisone which
he said would be my last chance but it is
really hard on the physical body.
Now with this HPV, even though I have a
very healthy life style, live in the
country, am for the most part happy, no
infections of any kind, have an immune
system that could not fight off HPV, where
does that place me being someone whose
immune system is compromised? Does it
come with age? Or the above mentioned
factors?

So only damaged immune systems are likely
to get septicaemia from infections
......my tooth infection then how ever
wouldnt as i think my immune system is
okay as you said it almost impossible for
somone with a normal immune system to get
sepsa
could my tooth infection weaken my immune
system ?
what are severe infections kidney mrsa
super bugs ......?
my tooth bacteria comes out of my gum
never stays in my gum so that is another
good thing it isnt runinning through my
gum?
please explain again i am very confused

Tooth infection are usually caused by
bacteria that are normally found in the
oral cavity. Such bacteria can't weaken
your immune system. Immune system can be
weaken by some viral infection like: HIV,
mono, rubella etc.
MRSA is an abbreviation for Meticilin
resistant Staphylococcus aureus. This is
a type of Staphylococcus aureus that
causes intra-hospital infections. It is
resistant to all antibiotics except to
Vankomicin.

i have a worry

from the age of ten to 14 i always
suffered with my tonsils and sore glands
but the doctor said they were just
infections and i would grow out of them
and that they were nothing to do with
immune system i recently since two days
ago have sore throat and glands
does this have anything to do with weak
immune system ??????

Which joints you feel painful and for how
long? Are the painful joints swollen, warm
and red?
Weak immune system can be manifested,
beside other symptoms and signs, with sore
throat and swollen lymph nodes but having
only sore throat for 3 days is not enough
proof for having weak immune system. Sore
throat and swollen lymph nodes are very
common conditions and rarely means weak
immune system (immune deficit).

Shoulders mostly always my shoulders chest
hurts alot when touched.
you are right about the swollen glands
they have gone now just a a sore throat
thing
No they are never red warm swollen theyre
tender to touch like all down my arm one
day will be tender.
and they hurt all the time for the past
one and a half years my lower back can
also start hurting for no apparnt reason
?
And my neck and elbows they all seem to
click since these pains
big noisy clicks when i turn my head
around in a circle
i know you said my immune is ok
they are alot of arthritus in my family
maybe thats why my joints are so painful
Also i am very worried as i am pregnant
and i was told low IRON ANEMIA Can weaken
the immune system.

Have you ever done X-ray image of the
painful joints? If yes, what did the
report say?
Iron deficit anemia is found in almost all
pregnant women. Iron supplements should
help you to prevent it to become severe.

Nothing Came Back Again Im Under A Baby
Docotor Now As I Have Bad Needle Phobia He
Gave Me Iron Tablets To Day.
Im Trying To Figure Out What Is Causing
This Also I Have Giddy Spells Somtimes And
My Face Will Feel Weird. Common Anxiety
Symptoms Again ?

I am 71 year old. In the last two years I
have suffered from pneumonia (bacterial)
twice. Bladder infections at least 10
times. (Various bacterias). Herpes, 20
times.
ITP, very serious, once, for 3 months,
requiring chemo. C.dif infection, once.
My doctor suggests seeing a urologist, I
think I need someone who specializes in
immune disorders. Does this sound like an
immune problem to you? Thanks. And what
kind of specialist am I looking for?

Having lung infection (pneumonia) twice
usually do not indicate having some immune
deficit. Do you have some other
respiratory disorders like bronchitis or
bronchiectasions? Do you have some spine
disorder that curve your vertebral
column?
Often bladder infections (chronic
cystitis) also doesn't mean having immune
deficit. Do you have some urine tract
anomaly? Do you have diabetes?
Herpes outbreaks appear when the immune
system is weak. What type of herpes you
had - zoster or simplex?
Clostridium deficiele infection could be
due to excessive use of various
antibiotics.
How many times you required chemotherapy
and when? Chemotherapy can cause immune
deficit. Idiopatic thrombocytopenic
purpure (ITP) is really an autoimmune
disorder.

Thank you for your various thoughts. I do
not have diabetes. I do not know but I
think the doctor called it glutal herpes.
I had two sessions of chemo which quickly
cured the ITP, but left me with various
infections for several months.
I have some asthma caused by various
irritants, but no chronic bronchitis, or
no spine disorder.
I do not have a ut anomaly that I know of,
so perhaps the suggestion to see a
urologist is timely.

Yes, you can consult some urologist or
nephrologist about those recurrent urinary
tract infections you have. You may need
abdominal ultrasound scan, intra venous
pyelography (IVP) and cystoscopy to find
out the reason for those recurrent
infections and to estimate how much damage
to your urinary tract (especially kidneys)
they have done. Urine culture would be
also requested to isolate the infective
agent and to chose some proper antibiotic
for treatment.

I Had A Antenatal Urine Test Last Week My
Which Revealed I Had a Trace Of Protein My
Results Came Back Today I Have a Urine
Infection.
Ive Had No Burning Just Urineating Alot.
They Are Giving Me Antibiotics. Also Is
This Because Of My Tooth Infection All My
Other Urine Tests In Antenatal Are Ok. ?
Theyre Prescribing Me With Antbiotics
Tomorow
Is This Because Of My Tooth ?

No. Urine infection can not be due to any
tooth infection.
Urine infections are common event during
pregnancy because enlarged womb preses the
ureters and bladder that causes urine
stagnation.
