What type of tests are available and how
accurate are they?
I know someone who did a blood test and
they where give the results the next day.
This test require freezing the blood
sample and re-testing in 24 hours. Has
anyone heard of this test?

Im not sure about the freezing part. But
I do know that there are two tests that
can be done to test for herpes virus 1
& 2.
The first one is a culture of the sore or
lesion.
The 2nd one is a specific blood test that
tests for both types of herpes.
Now I want to warn you of just the culture
test. I got a culture test done from the
sores I had. The test came back negative.
I went on with my life for three years
thinking I did not have herpes. Well on my
yearly pap my doctor noticed I had a
lesion and ordered blood tests done. I was
positive for both types of herpes.
So I recommend a blood test. my results
came back in mess than a week. Maybe 3
days?
