1 test positive 1 Negative for pregnancy Posted: 04-26-08 13:25pm
ok so I have been trying for about 6
months to get pregnant. Been taking the
ept five days sooner almost every month..
Last month 4 days before my missed period
I took one and to my surprise it came up
PREGNANT! (It was a digital came with 2)
so 15 minutes later just to be sure i took
the 2nd one. same thing! JOY JOY! So
then about a week later I started bleeding
real light. so i thought hmmm im going to
get another one just to be certain. so i
went back and got the same EPT one with
the plus minuse and one digital. (the
digital ones battery run out and i wanted
to keep one) and they both said
NEGATIVE-NOT PREGNANT. Its weird. I
checked exp date and everything. so 2 said
pos and 2 said NEG. I have not gone to the
doctor because I have no insurance or
anything and already have a TON of doctor
bills and just cant afford to go if its
just a default test. has this happened to
anyone.. I always hear a false negative is
common but what about 2 false positives?

I guess you could get a false positive,
but it's REALLY rare. I don't think I've
ever heard of such a strange thing as
getting 2 positives and then 2 negatives.
Do you think that maybe you had the
slightest chance of maybe a miscarriage
with the bleeding? I have no clue about
this at all.
Maybe you could take another test again
and see what happens. Or wait until next
month and see if your period comes back?
If you are still missing your period, I'm
afraid you probably should go to the
doctor if you get another negative test.
