Q: Testing for pregnancy

had unprotected sex march 10. i havent started my period and should started last sunday. i been sick with a boil on me and they gave me medicine. they also took a blood test on me so i was woudering like they said everythings was normal. but can that blood work say that im pregnant

If only a complete blood count (CBC) was done, then it does not include testing for pregnancy. You might want to use a home test for pregnancy or visit a gynecologist for laboratory hormonal pregnancy tests and a pelvic exam.

As for being pregnant, ovulation occurs exactly fourteen days before the start of the next menstrual period. Since the length of your menstrual cycle is irregular, pregnancy is possible if your menstrual cycle should have started on March 24th instead on March 29th as expected (irregular). However, it can not be either confirmed or ruled out without the previously mentioned additional examinations.
