Here are some picture of Luke. They are kinda small because I resized them for my blog.

Luke's PICC line-well, just the tubing, the other part is wrapped up and a pain to rewrap.

he's just adorable... poor guy... i cant immagion having to wrap the pic line! must be very hard!

i feel dumb asking, but what is a picc line?

A picc line is where they insert a catheter up your vein and then use that to administer iv meds instead of an iv which can come out easily.

The catheter goes all the way up near his heart so it would be hard to come out. He had to be put under for it and everything. We do have to be very careful that it doesn't get infected though. I use it to give him antibiotics 3x's a day because we are seeing if we can get rid of his MRSA.

My sister had a picc line in for Lymes disease when she was 12..so i understand how much work they are to keep clean snd stuff. Poor little guy, I couldnt imagine having one with an infant.
