Thought I'd let you know...

I haven't been here in a long time.
There's a lot going on in my life right
now that's keeping me extremely busy and I
haven't had time to keep up with people
like I should. But we got some news
yesterday that I felt was share-worthy.
We're pregnant again. It took nearly a
full year of trying, which was hard when
our first pregnancy came so easily. I'm
still breastfeeding, which affected my
cycles and kept me from ovulating for
months at a time. I honestly didn't think
I would be fertile until I weaned my
daughter, which was a heartbreaking
thought.
We're very relieved and excited right now.
When I found out I was in shock and
disbelief, but I tested again this morning
and the positive was there even before the
control line appeared, dark as can be. I'm
definitely pregnant again.
I just wanted to share our happy news with
those of you who've been so kind to me and
so understanding. It's painful when you're
having trouble getting pregnant and
watching others get pregnant so easily. My
heart definitely goes out to those who are
having trouble - I feel your pain, I
honestly do.

Congratulations! It took us almost a year
to get pregnant with Luke so I know how
exciting it is to look at that positive
test and feel relief.

Thank you very much everyone!
Jules: I'm not sure how far along I am, to
be honest. My cycle was so messed up from
breastfeeding and I would often skip
months at a time or only have spotting. I
was convinced I wasn't ovulating, or at
least not consistently enough to TTC
effectively, so this is a very pleasant
surprise. I'll probably have to wait for
my first ultrasound to find out exactly
how far along I am.
Aaron wants a boy, and since this will be
our last baby, I'm hoping for a boy as
well. I'd be grateful for either though as
long as they're healthy. If it's a girl I
can stick with the pink girly bedroom I've
been dreaming of for Alyvia (they'll be
sharing a bedroom).
