Hi Lilitha Posted: 06-09-08 19:47pm
You do need to see a psychiatrist so if I
were you I would take her up on the offer.
I don't undertstand how she doesn't seem
to realise that you need professional
help. Maybe she's in denail. maybe she's
not thinking clearly because you're dads
going to hospital.Maybe she's just scared.
at least you've told her a little bit
about whats going on so maybe when she has
a think about it she will realise that you
do need help.
I'm glad you told her though and see how
when you spoke to her all the syptoms
seemed to vanish. thats the great think
about letting someone in to support you.
it reassures you that what you're
thinking, hearing, seeing IS NOT REAL.
Is there a mental health clinic you may be
able to call and discuss your symptoms
with.
You need to get some medication. you can't
keep living this way. These types of
conditions can get worse if left
untreated.
Are you sure you wouldn't like me to email
your mum. i can tell her what you've been
experiencing and also tell her that in my
opinion and everyone elses opinion here on
this forum you need to see a psychiatrist.
just pm me her email if you're interested.
Just keep in mind. None of it is really
real. you're not part of any experiment at
all. you just need medication and you'll
get better.
Don't be embarresed to tell someone what
you're experiencing. the more you tell
them the more they can help you. Have you
a nan or aunt perhaps you may be able to
talk to aswell, or a brother or sister.
I hadn't heard from you in a couple of
days and i'd really hoped you had gone to
get help. I'll keep hoping that you do it
soon...
Take care sweetie.. : )

Thank you again. Luckily enough
after my exams passed things have been
getting better. The voices have gone and I
hear them very rarely.I miss one of them
and I don't really get out much or have
social interactions with anyone because of
that, but I guess that it's for the best
not to hear them.I still see things, but I
can at least tell which are real and which
not.I still think that my parents can read
my mind, but at least I know they are
real.And yeah,stuff like that.Maybe is was
just a crisis, because of the much
stress,don't know.
Thank you all for your support.

Happy to hear you're feeling better now.
I guess it could
have had to do with the stress but I'd
still go and talk to a doctor about it if
you can. Just to find out what was going
on.

Well I will wait a little and if the other
things don't go away I will probably go
see a doctor. But for now I just want
things to stay as peaceful as they can.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that it didn't
go well for you.
I am bipolar I don't hear voices, but my
own inner voice does enough damage always
bringing me down about myself.
I am on Geodone and another thing I do, is
keep the TV on all day when I am home so I
can't have time to think by myself. I fall
asleep at night with the TV on.
I think you need to go to the nurses
office at school and talk to them about
your concerns and your fear of talking to
your parents. If you can't get your
parents to help you, then find someone
else that can.
It is important that you get diagnosed and
treated as soon as possible, because
adjusting meds takes time and you don't
need to be suffering any more then you are
now.
