tingling in hands and feet Posted: 05-04-08 07:58am
About five weeks ago woke up in middle of
the night with pins and needles in hand
and two fingers feeling like hot rods
inside them. My arm and shoulder was also
aching, hand felt very puffy and numb as
well. Got out of bed and it stayed for a
couple of hours. The same thing happened
every night for a couple of weeks, it than
subsided to just the hand, sometimes it
would be left hand as well but not as much
as right. Still get numb tingling feeling
in hands and also in toes. Have
experienced dizziness and a real sick
feeling which would only last about five
minutes. Feel things crawling on right
leg. I am quite an active person but have
been getting very tired of late. Worked
for 6 hours yesterday and felt like I had
exercised all day, very sore all
over.Today I feel sore from waste down in
legs etc. Hands and toes still tingling,
knees and ankles get little aches in
them.
Went to dictor who took blood tests and
did xray on neck, everything fine. Doctor
told me to see how I am feeling in couple
of weeks. Went to another Doctor who is
doing other blood tests and wants me to
have CT scan. I feel like I am going mad
as I know this is real.
Can you tell me what blood tests both
doctors did exactly?
Did doctors examine your thyroid
hormones?
Do you still have regular menstruations?
Do you feel those symptoms during the day
or only during the night?

When I felt the first tingling, numbness
in my right foot, I told my husband I knew
it was MS. I told my psychiatrist it was
MS. I had a sister with MS and I just
somehow knew. They told me I was being
over-reactive, extrapolating, dramatic. I
insisted on an MRI which showed 2 lesions.
YOU know your body better than anyone;
don't let anyone tell you that what you
are feeling isn't real.
The place to start is with an MRI; you can
go from there.
