tmj symptoms or muscular ? Posted: 05-22-08 18:43pm
today I spoke via phone to a well-known
tmj specialist and listed my symptoms - he
was kind enough to talk to me -
significant deviation on opening and
closing ; hard and loud crepitus on one
side when closing; teeth don't line up;
lots of facial pain that moves around - in
front of ear, under jaw, in cheeks ,neck
and back pain; temple pain that comes and
goes.....
he told me that this is nothing more than
muscular - can that be? aren't these
typical signs of tmj? Can someone plaease
respond - thanks

But doesn't the crunching and deviation
indicate something more than muscles. The
mu,ltiple sounds in the tmj area are
extremely lous and multip0le in
nature.....
