Can't move finger up or down: BOUTONIERE DEFORMITY caused by Posted: 07-11-07 14:55pm
got hurt at work(fell off truck) had big
bump on wrist (ganglion) and bump on first
finger ( foreign matter) and pinky just
hung down i could not lift it at middle
joint. but could make a fist. they told me
that nothing was wrong for 6 7 months said
was sprained wrist and a contusion on
pinky. they ran lots of tests and therapy
3 times week. then went to hand center.
and operated on me within a week was going
to do a tendon transfer and a remove
ganglion and forgien matter. after he
opened me up said it was a central slip
and he repaired it. soon as got splint off
the finger was hanging again. i still
could make fist. back to surgery he pinned
pip joint. the finger was hanging with pin
in it. took it out and fewll even more.
now it been really swollen for 3-4 months
now and hangs worse then ever. COULD
BOUTONIERE DEFORMITY BEEN CAUSE BY
SOMETHING THE DOCTOR DID DURING SURGERY
CAUSE NOW I CANT MOVE MY FINGER UP OR
DOWN?? PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP..
