I wish ... Posted: 07-11-07 22:08pm
When my time comes to leave this earth, I
wish to be cremated. I do not want to be
embalmed and placed in a coffin. I wish
any organ, tissue , eyes etc ,anything
that someone else could use, be donated. I
then wish to be cremated. I would like to
have a small memorial service for those
who would like to celebrate the Me they
once knew. No sad music, no
Flowers....donations to the animal shelter
or senior center would make me happy. I
also wish for my ashes be scattered in the
mountains that I spent so may fun times in
the fall with my best friend.
My Mother is irate because she feels the
coffin and burial plot the whole ppackage
deal is whats the right thing to do. ...My
theory.....We are only here to use this
body, once our souls leave and go on to
heaven, this body can go back to dust. We
will no longer need it. So, I really think
cemetaries are for those who need to
grieve and can't get it out of their
system. I for one have learned to live for
today and tomorrow. Once I'm gone, thats
it ladies and gentlemen! Remember me for
who I AM or was! Any feedback on this
would be most appreciated! Thanks!

Your an amazingly supportive
person..............and although obviously
older than me, still have much to
offer..........
..........as far as burial............no
concerns here..........I could care less
if they throw me in a Hefty
bag............sign on it..........."I'm
Outta here!"..........and wait for pick up
day.............
...........Yeah, I feel the clock ticking
too, but doesn't mean you can't make a
blast out of your remaining
years...............Enjoy and don't worry
bout mom..............odds are you'll out
live her anyway............give her what
she wants.................and then do
whatca gonna do anyway, Peace

A little stoy that I find soooo ture. My
mother and I where driving in a car one
day and there was this really hunkie
looking guy on the street. no shirt on
tight jeans, tan.. you get the picture..
Any ways, I said WOW man oh Man what a
hunk.. My mother in her 60"s say he sure
is. It surprised me and I ask her if she
still looked at men like that and she said
heck yeah.. SHe told me the hardest thing
about getting old is you don't ever feel
your age on the inside. Oh, you feel the
age and you are a little wiser, but you
still look at things the same way it was
when you are younger. It's just the out
side that reminds you your older.. As the
years go on I know just what she meant..
Fairly Godmother. from the things you have
said, I think you are a special person.
Don't argue with your mother. SHe will
pass before you and then you can do what
you want. And you will meet again in
heaven.. Where age won't matter..

big funeral.. etc etc

I think if you wish to be cremated then so
be it (:
I think it is wonderful that you are 50
& that you can
relate to us, you seem like such a joly
soul & I hope that
your years are the best ever & I
surely know that if anything
happens to you we will all be in grief
& loss.

Amanda, I plan on being here another 50
years. Girlfriend if you saw me, you'd
flip out TOTALLY. I do not look 50, or act
50 nor do I ever want to get old. My heart
and soul will stay young 4-ever..........
I can relate because I put myself into
the position of when I was the age of the
person asking the question. I remember
what its like to be a certain age wth
questions yet, I had no one to answer
them........When I wrote this, I was
thining about my father whom I just lost
last year. Funerals are such a waste of
time and money and make a perons fell
worse than they could already. Just
remember me as someone who cared and tried
to make you laugh! I care about you people
on eHealth........God has given me
multiple chances on life and I for one
appreciate everything around
me.........just not material things! HUGS!

Hi Fairy*Godmother....I'm older than you
as you know and probably headed for the
great pow wow before you....So, I think
about this stuff a lot myself, like
prfctbyntre....I think you know me well
enough to know I have a similar outlook on
life and live for today and not in the
past. Therefore, I feel that age is a body
thing and not a mind thing.
This is just a long way of saying what you
have outlined sounds good for me, too. I
have wanted to be cremated for a long time
and you seemed to have thought of
everything. I would like my ashes
scattered in Colorado from the top of a
mountain I picked out a while back.
Good job.

Just brush those teeth and we can be both
put inot the same mayonniase jar! I told
my daughter I want my ashes put into a
huge mayo jar and when seh goes to party
to kinda toss a handfull of me out into
the middle! You ARE NOT that much older
and I coulda dies 8 years ago had this
STWTE OF HTE ART TITANIUM CLIP not been
inserted to hold all this loveliness
together! Its way past your bedtime, what
are you still doing up ? Urns cost
bucks....mayo jars come a dime a dozen. I
went to the creamtorium wht a frind of
mine a couple years ago and brought Miss
Matilda back on my lap wtill warm in a
cardboard box. I dont really give a rats
ass what they do with the ashes....Just
pray my soul will one day reach my family
and new found friends like you! Hugs and
Kisses!

My son attends preschool at a church and
this past week a girl age 16 died. She
told her cousin and sister one week before
her tragic accident (horse accident) that
if she were to die, she wanted to donate
her organs...everything they could. I
think she said this on her 16th birthday.
Her organ donation has given a longer life
for seven people. It was quite ironic that
she said this on her birthday and just a
week before she died. If she didn't say
this, she would have been buried without
the organ donation. Glad to see her wishes
came true.
