I know someone who is a 17 year old girl
and is having major head problems. For
over a year now she has basically had a
constant headache. She went to a
nuerologist a few months ago and he gave
her medicine but it does nothing. She
just went again today and they gave her
more of the same thing and I doubt it will
help. She goes back in two months and if
this doesnt work then she has to take some
kind of seizure medicine that is very bad
and lowers your IQ and stuff.
Here is what she complains of:
Constant headaches,
sensitivity to light and noise at times,
memory loss,
trouble recognizing things at times
(including myself who she sees almost
every day),
she has had brain xrays and all kinds of
stuff. i want to help her but i cant and
i want to know what could be wrong with
her. it is extremely stressful for her
and it is making it difficult to live a
normal life for a 17 year old girl.
other info:
she is light... probably about 5'8" and
100 pounds,
she gets sick very often and easily,
i cant think of anything else right now
any info or ideas would be great
thanks

i'm 20 years old 5'8 & 115 lbs, i've
suffered from migraines for 4 years &
go through most of the same things as your
friend except the memory loss &
trouble recognizing things. neurologists
put me on tons of meds. i'm on topamax now
its only working ok... someone i know gets
botox injections & i guess it really
helps. its something that only needs to
get done every few months i guess. maybe
thats something to look into. i've also
heard about a surgery that i'm about to
look into. migraines are horrible to deal
with, i would jump on the idea of surgery
to never have a migraine again! good luck
to her
