I have been reading many books, online
information and they all have different
times in which you can tell what your ging
to have. Anyone know the correct month,
weeks? that the gender can be determined?

Just to be safe I would say 20 weeks.
I had mine at 18 weeks and I was very
nervous that it wasn't correct. I really
couldn't see what the tech and my husband
thought that they saw. However, I had to
go to a specialist at 22 weeks where they
did an u/s. There was no mistaking then
that I was having a boy. The tech could've
been better the second time but it just
seemed like I got better shots.

My vote is for 20 weeks as well. I think
that doing it any earlier than that is
just risking doing an ultrasound without
finding out the sex. I know you can find
out a little bit earlier it's just more
visible around this time. GL! How far
along are you?
thank you both for the responses i was
hoping around 18 by the time i go to my
appt next month . i love to shop and i
want to buy things besides yellow green
and white! i am 11 weeks and 2 days

I'm going in on the 30th, and that puts me
at 19 weeks. Because they don't do
ultrasounds during the time my regular 20
week visit is. We have the sturgis rally
that week, and they are so busy with bike
accidents that they said i could come in a
week early, or later. I choose early

Around 20 weeks to be more certain of the
sex. I have heard not to get it done at
15-16 weeks as the error rate is quite a
bit higher.
I had my u/s scheduled next week for 19
weeks, but I got a call yesterday that the
tech was going on vacation, and I had to
reschedule for July 30, when I'll be close
to 21 weeks. It sucks having to wait
longer, but hopefully, the baby should be
more developed by then.
