Hi all. I just wanted to post some
problems that I am having to get some
opinions of what other people think is
going on. For the most part, I feel fine,
but I have a gut feeling that some kind of
problem is in the works. So, if you think
I am crazy and that all of this is in my
head, just say whatever you wish.
1. I know that I am a depressed person,
however I am not currently being treated.
I took Wellbutrin XL for a few months 2
years ago.
2. Sometimes I get a burning/tingle-ing
feeling on my right lower abdomen. This
has been going on for the past 4 years. I
have since complained about it several
times (at a post partum checkup 3.5 years
ago and about a year after that). I had 2
pelvic ultrasounds and both came back as
normal. I usually get this burning feeling
when I am laying on my left side for a few
minutes or longer (this doesnt happen
every time I lay down, but I especially
notice it when I am laying in bed). The
burning feeling goes away if I change
position and lay on my back for example.
3. Whenever I turn my head to the side
(either side) both sides of my neck hurt.
Every time I look over my shoulder when
driving to either change lanes or go in
reverse.... I have this pain. I have
noticed this for hte last several months
and it is still on-going. I did not report
this to my doctor.
4. Six months ago or so, I had a few bouts
with tingling hands or feet/leg. I have
only experienced this a few times... and
nothing recently. I would sit in my
computer chair, and after awhile it felt
like hip on the right side felt funny,
along with my right foot. I also had two
or three episodes in my hand. I think it
was only my right hand... but I could be
wrong as I didnt think much of it at the
time. I wasn't sitting on it or anything
like that, it just kind of started to
tingle. So I shaked it around and it went
away eventually. Like I said earlier, I
havent experinced this recently. This has
not been reported to my doctor.
5. Urge to urinate. I have no pain at all
when urinating and it is not something
that is extremely urgent... my problem is
that I feel like I need to pee when I just
went to the bathroom within the last ten
minutes. It is almost as if my bladder
doesnt completely empty. If I do go to the
bathroom, I can pee but only a small
quantity of urine will come out. Often
times I can delay going to the bathroom
again for a few hours (since I had just
gone within the last 10 minutes). I have
noticed this problem within the last few
weeks and it is still occuring. I have not
reported this to my doctor.
6. Ok, for those of you who don't want to
read about my bowel problems... skip this
number 6....Ever since my daughter was
born 4 years ago... I feel as though
everything is not lined up right when it
comes to having a BM. I did complain about
this at an annual exam, I had a rectal
exam, and the findings were normal. I
think they were checking for something
called rectocielie (where the rectum falls
(or sits) in the vaginal canal). Anywho,
sometimes I will push and the stool is
right there... it just wont come out. If I
press on my perinnium, it comes out just
fine. I have on occasion had to insert a
finger in my vagina to help put pressure
on the stool to get it out. Most of my
stools are small in size and in quantity
and you would probably think it was my 4
year old who had just gone instead of
myself.
So now, for your opinions. For me, it
seems that all of these things by
themselves dont really amount to anything.
Also, I have had some things checked out
in the past. I just feel that all of these
symptoms mean 'something' and I cant just
be imagining all this. The thing that
concerns me the most is the
burning/tingle-ing feeling I get in my
pelvis...but I had it checkout out twice
in the past. I dont' know... what do you
guys think? Has anyone experienced all of
these things as well?
Thanks so much for your opinions.

I think you need to go to a new doctor and
report all of this to him. Every
single thing you've been feeling.
Many times patients are mis-diagnosed or
left completely untreated because they see
one doctor for one condition and another
doc for a different condition, and no one
doctor gets to see the big picture. The
symptoms seem connected to me too, so I'd
definitely schedule an appointment with a
doctor who is a woman's health specialist
and have him or her look at your whole
history of pain and treatment.
