Is this a heart attack ?
Posted: 07-14-07 19:08pm

for the last 2-3 days, my heart has been acting weird. I feel like at any moment, I'm about to have a heart attack.

My left arm currently feels cold, it's tingling and I have very slight pain in it. I have been having the tingling sensation and coldness in it for about 2-3 days on and off.

I'm also finding it difficult to breathe and have a weird pressure feeling in my back just below my shoulder.

I currently don't have any heart pain, but I have been having slight stabbing pain on and off for the last 2-3 days.

Is this a heart attack? I'm really scared. I would go to the doctor but it's 1 am here (I have a very bad sleeping schedule) and obviously, they're not open at this time. My only other option is the hospital but I'd have to phone for an ambulance as I can't get there any other way. I worry I may be wasting their time if this turns out to be nothing. It also means waking my mum, who's very easily worried and I don't want to worry her.

I'm only 18 and very very scared. Should I go to the hospital or am I just being paranoid?

If this was a heart attack, would it have lasted on and off for 3 days like this?

Apart from these symptoms, I feel fine. What's wrong with me?!

I dont think its a heart attack.

I think your symptoms would be a hell of alot more extreme. But you could just be suffering some anxiety/stress? I get the arm thing, although not tingling, but tingling is common anxiety symptom... but it goes very cold.

Try to relax, and hopefully your doc can give you better answers!

Sounds more like panic attacks and Anxiety...........are you under a lot of stress? Family history of heart disease or problems? My husbands father was only 26 years oldwhen he had a heart attack and died.....my husband was only 11 months old, he never knew his dad........you are young, but if yo uare exerpeinceing anything like this thats scarry, its worth the time and $ to have it looked into! Good luck Sweetie Rolling Eyes

I have had that same problem and rushed to the er and turn out to be just anxiety attacks. Which the more nervous you get can make it worse But if it has been happening for 2-3 days i dont think its a heart attack. If you get a crushing pain in the center of your chest and it radiates up to your jaw or upper shoulders then you need to get medical help. Try to relax and breathe in deeply and exhaling slowly. Put your mind on something else and see if the symtoms subcide.

mind over matter, you get scared and maybe tell yourself you are having a heart problem, and you suddenly have all the symptom. if your a nervous person that could be it.
