Names For Twin Girls !
Posted: 07-15-07 09:23am

Hi! I'm pregnant with twin girls and I really need a hand with names!

We've decided that one of them will be named Lily.

For the other my husband really likes Lucy but isn't that way too close? Lily and Lucy? They would begin with the same letter and end in the same letter and sound!

I would like to name one of my girls after my nan, whose name was Emma. Lily and Emma sounded good but our surname is Watson, and my husband's niece promptly informed us that "Emma Watson is the girl who plays Hermione!" (in the Harry Potter films if you didn't know). Is it still doable, or should we use it as a middle name?

Other names we have considered are Mia and Belle/Bella.

Thoughts and suggestions are very appreciated!

Thanks!

i looooooove the name Mia, but I also respect the fact that you want to name her after your nan, I think Emma Watson sounds fine, and even though Harry Potter is the big thing right now I don't think it'll be a big deal for you to give her the same name Laughing I think Lilly and Emma sound great together.

What about :
Emma Lucelle call her Lucy
Lily Belle call her Lilly

It does nto matter that both girls name starts and ends with the same letter. I think its kinda AWESOME cause they are both "close and connected" anyway!
Name them whatever you please, they will be beautiful no matter what you call them! Kiss kiss

How about Ella instead of Emma, it's close and they are both beautiful. Either way it's your choice and who cares what others people's names are. In my family we always used the same letter of the first name instead of the whole name at times. My grandmother's name was Blossom and no one liked the name so the baby was named Bella, my dad is Jacob but we are jewish and don't use the same name so the baby's name was Jonah. You could always do it that way if you don't want the same name as a celebrity or like you said use a middle name, Rose is a pretty one that goes with Emma or Leigh.
