It's different for everyone. I've heard some women say that they got lighter instead of darker. I know for me, they just turned purple...I guess it's because I have such light skin. Who knows.

i am 25 weeks & 3 days pregnant & my nipples haven't changed much in color, however, they have grown in size! i asked my mother about nipple changes, because she has 5 children & experienced it all during her pregnancies, & she said that it is different for every woman, as is expected. we all have different bodies, therefore it only makes sense that we deal with our pregnancies in different ways. Wink my nipples also started leaking fluids early on at around week 19 or so. also normal.

research it online & in books a little if you're that interested. Smile

mine didn't start to darken until like 20 weeks or so. and even now at about 30 they aren't a lot darker. my actual nipple did get bigger though.
that is the biggest change i noticed.

that is what i've read & heard, too. but what's in a book or online, even told through personal experiences, doesn't mean it's normal for everybody. i think it also depends on skin tone & such. also, they color change might be so gradual that you don't notice it right away. my nipples have darkened a tiny bit, but it's happened so slowly, that i really don't notice it.

this is a great place to seek pregnancy advice, so i hope you find any information your looking for. Smile

mine are a little redder but the weird thing is they have a brownish ring around the outside of them, like the line down my belly, same colour. i hope that goes away later. i have fair skin and i've got some spots on my face too. i've been trying to stay out of the sun and i always use a lot of sunscreen but it almost looks like i have freckles some days.

the ring will go away
the outside of your nipples begin to darken sometimes causing that ring to form
i have a slight one
