ok i'm going to be 33 weeks tomorrow and my belly button is still a prominent inny... is that normal? or am i correct in my concerns that my belly isn't big enough for how far along i am (and this is a factor in it)?

sorry, i think it might just be the first time mommy jitters...
[oh and as an update, my fiance' finally agreed on the first name i picked out (i had already said yes to his pick for the middle name) so no more fighting about the name!! yay!!]

Hey there! I've read somewhere that some women's belly buttons never actually pop out. My cousin's just stretched but it was still an inny all the way up to when she had him.

fairytale007 is absolutely correct. some women never experience an inny-turned-outie belly button during their pregnancies. so don't be worried. you're actually one of the lucky ones. Smile

also, some women who started with an inny, end up with an outie even after the birth of their child. their belly button, for whatever reason, doesn't go back in. it's really weird.

i'm 25 weeks & 3 days pregnant & my belly button has just recently started to pop out. it looks funny right now because i'm a half-outie, and half-flat. i can't say inny at all because my belly button has blended with the rest of my skin.

don't worry about it. mine never even came close to popping out, i could have stuck a gumdrop in mine (not that i tried).

also, just because your belly isn't huge it doesn't mean your not measuring properly. i was barely showing up until 35 weeks when i finally popped and i was always measuring right on or 2 weeks ahead at my appointments. don't compare yourself to other women!

mine's still an innie and i'm 39 weeks. it's weird because it's flat but it's like, folded over like a little upside down pocket. it looks like a little upside down smile lol. i guess, in my case though, it's because of my big scar pulling it to one side, but it's still an innie.

mine is just flat! i am about 30 weeks. and i think it is going to look all gross and stretched out afterwards. i would rather have it not pop out or be flat!
belly size is so different for everyone too. my Dr always says i measure perfect but most people tell me i am going to get huge. but that is just because i am going straight out because i am only 5'2" and it makes me look a lot bigger than i am. he always tells me to ignore peoples comments!

Mine never popped out at all. My sister gained less than I did ( I gained 72lbs) and hers popped out, every person and every pregnancy is different but your belly button does not have to pop out, you will be fine and so will your baby.
