ya...i been doing a little bit of reading online...so dont know how credible the websites are. But it does say to avoid them, ESPECIALLY if you, the dad or even anyone in the family has allergies.
No one in my family has allergies but Iam still worried...coz i love peanut butter and peanuts.
All other nuts are ok.
It is also suggested to avoid honey...while pregnant and until baby is greater then 1 yr old due to the spores and they can cause botulism...so sucks.

I've been avoiding any kind of nuts, peanuts, cadburys wholenut, galaxy hazelnut, snickers bars, chocolate peanuts etc. Even tho i have'nt got any allergies in my family i would rather not risk that to my unborn baby.

Oh and i heard you should'nt have runny eggs either because that can be bad for the baby too.

So roll on 6 weeks and i can enjoy a big fat bar of cadburys wholenut! Wink

i eat peanut butter on toast every weekend. i guess it's too late to change anything now but allergies are pretty much non existant in my family. if anything, we have lactose intolerance, but even that is minor. my doctor never mentioned it so i hope it's okay.

MMmmm I've been thinking about this recently because I love nuts plus I have been craving them. Apparently it can cause allergies, eczema and something else which I can't remember in babies, but generaly only if there is a family history.

I have a far away family history like my aunts children all have eczema so I don't want to risk it but I do miss nuts Sad

when i spoke to my midwife about this she said that if you have a family history of nut allergies then it's best to avoid them tottaly but if you don't then it's best to limit the amount you eat
