How to seek help for depression and mental health ? I want t Posted: 07-16-07 03:41am
For as long as I can rember, I can never
feel happy. I have allways wanted to die.
I try so hard to be happy, but I am
allways sad. Even when everything is
going my way, I think to myself, it would
be so much better if I was died. In the
last 2 months I have tryed to kill myself
3 times by taking pills. I want to be
happy, but dont know how to do that. How
can I seek help, without people looking
down on me. Where can i seek help? I
hate feeling this way.

Symptoms of depression include: constant
feeling of sadness, irritability or
tension, decreased interest or pleasure in
usual activities/hobbies, loss of energy,
decreased ability to make decisions or
concentrate, thoughts of suicide or death
etc. According to the symptoms you
described, it seems that you've been
suffering from this disorder.
You may consult a psychiatrist or another
mental health professional who may advise
psychotherapy or prescribe you medication
if necessary. Sometimes, your community
may also sponsor a local mental health
clinic. Mental health is as important as
physical health, and the professionals who
work in the field will not look down on
you. they are there to help. You can
look for help from a local clinic, or seek
a practitioner in your area via the
internet.
