Figured that I would let everyone know that Chandler came into the world Sun. July 15th at 6:04 pm after 26 hours of labor. He weighs 7 lbs 5oz and is 21 inches long.

I will post pictures as soon as I am feeling up to it, and I will write out my birth story.

Thanks for all of your well wishes!!!

Mary

Thanks everyone. Chandler is doing really well. The breastfeeding is tough, but we will see how things go and what the doctor has to say when I am able to get in to see her. (Which will be this week) I have one nipple that is really good and he takes well to it, the other one is a bit flatter and its brutal getting him to latch. Getting a bit better at it, but lord.. it certainly is not that easy!!! I am going to hit the sheets now and hopefully get some sleep before he wakes for another feed. Cheers!!

Update....
HI everyone.. Things are going pretty good. Chandler is not going to be a baby who will breast feed tho!!! He will only feed on one breast and thats it. Won't touch the other. He wasnt getting enough and started to get dehydtrated so I started to give him formula at about 3 am this morning when I had to call the hospital because I thought he was passing blodd in his urine. Turns out its what they call "brick dust" due to dehydration and he needed more fluids. He has been doing so much better since. Only drinking about a half oz to a full oz at a time, but we will eventually get him up there in that. As soon as I am feeling better I will be on with my story and I hope to be able to get some pictures posted. I havent tried that yet so we will see how that goes.

Take care and thanks for you wishes and thoughts!!
