So yes, you should have regular check-ups
and be tested often. It does sound like an
inheritated trait in your family. Not
only on your mom's side, but your father's
as well. Continue to be checked often,
every six months would make me feel
better, and then you can get help before
it reaches advanced stages. If you
want, PM me and tell me of your other
problems. I am hear to listen. I have
had a few tragic experiences in my life as
well.

You still can have kids Posted: 07-17-08 22:16pm
I'm New here,
I got told that I had cervical cancer
2007 in Feb , and had a some of my cervix
removed I was sad to think that a person
like myself who was so fit and healthy
never ate junk I have been an aerobic/ gym
instuctor for 14 years now You just dont
think that it could happen to you. Well ,
since then I have had another child which
at 18 weeks had to have a stich put in to
hold my cercix together ... I got told no
sex , lifting, standing for long periods
and to rest as much as one can... So I
spent many a day swimming as it was a hot
summer here in Australia. I went into
labour at 36 weeks and had the stich
removed she was born with only 2 pushes...
# weeks after birth I had a prolase .. NOw
that would have to be the most scary to
ever happen to me, as I had only ever
heard of this happening to the aged not
someone just after giving birth and at the
age of 35 .but the good news is that it
does heal itself I had a ring inserted for
4 weeks and it worked. Yeah!! I went for a
check up only to discover that I'm still
hpv positive I got told that you are only
ment to have the virus for 2 years????? I
have to go back in Dec for another check
up and tests I would reallylike to have
another child so cross your fingers for me

and how much did she weigh?
What is hpv - is it the virus they can
give you a vaccination for?
Congratulations on your little one - is
this your first?

My mom almost had Cervical Cancer and I
know that makes the risk of me getting it
even higher.
I'm not really worried about it right now
because I just had an appointment with my
Gyno not too long ago and everything
looked fine.
But I'm gonna stay on top of it because
for one, it's one of the leading causes of
death in woman.
I don't wanna be one of the many.
