Hives & Joint Pain

Anyone ever heard of this combo or have any suggestions?? Daughter in law has had hives & joint pain (which moves from joint to joint) for 3 months. Has seen several doctors with diagnoses ranging from poison ivy to scabies to psoriasis..etc. Biopsy inconclusive. My son and grandson exhibit no symptoms even though they sleep with her (really sounds like scabies, yeah right!! She was 7 months postpartum when this began. She also has polycystic ovarian disease. When treated with steroids, the symptoms disappear, but return within a day of finishing.

I am having the same problem. I have a 5 month old son and just started breaking out in hives. I also have joint pain in my wrists and hands that have come and gone for about a month now. Any clues??

Lupus would be my random, unprofessional guess.

I just googled this combo too since this is my second time with it. I've had migrating joint pain and bad hives as well as general puffiness. I'm seeing my MD soon. I'll let you know what she thinks. I have 3 yr old boy/girl twins. Take care,

I recently became pregnant again and my hives have disappeared. I had gone to an allergist and no one could figure out why I had them. Now, I believe it is hormonal somehow because they only appeared after I had my first son and now that I am pregnant again, they are gone. I will probably have to start my medication again after the second one is born to control them. Hopefully, they will never come back. We'll see.
