Q: Hcg Levels

has anyone had their HCG levels monitored throughout their pregnancy, or at least 1st trimester?? I know that it is supposed to peak, then drop down, and then level off for the rrest of the pregnancy.
On sunday I had bleeding after intercourse...enough to send me to the hospital. Since then I had a tiny little bit of old blood, but none today. All the U/S look good, heard heartbeat again today. All is well. However I had an HCG test on sunday which was 99, 000 and then tuesday it went down to 95, 000. They were different labs, one was in the hospital and the other at a lab near our house. My dr was quite insistent that having it at 2 different labs could be the cauze of the variance.
It could also be that the levels peaked and are now going down?? Has anyone had experience with this.
I had no pain or cramping throughout any of this, I am just so confused. I am reassured by the fetal doppler and the u/s but then I get these results back. oughhh

It is very possible that the variance is due to the two different labs. No two labs are alike. Also, at some point (I'm not sure when) your hcg levels do go down a bit. It seems like it could be time too since your placenta should be taking over some of the work.

I really truly hope I am so scared. The placenta has formed, and its actually very low. I hope that is what it is. I so hope.
Thank you
